First under the name of Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Final Fantasy XV has made an appearence at E3 and was announced to currently be in development. It's not much, but considering how long we've been in the dark about this game, it's better than nothing. Now before I get into the details of the game, I want to talk about some comments other gamers have been making about it. They say that it doesn't feel like a Final Fantasy game. This is most likely because there is no turn base system in the game. In my eyes, that means that it's not like pokemon. I mean seriously I hated waiting for that timer to get full so I can attack. I know people want to keep final fantasy traditions, but the time based battles is something I can live without. Okay, on to the game. The plot and cast of Final Fantasy XV was just recently realised. The story is this: The only crystal left to the world lies i the Kingdom of Lucis. Upon striking a peace with the garrison state of Niflheim (is that a Final Fantasy VII refernce I smell? XD), Lucis rejoices in having at last brought the cold war to a close. Their celebrations, however, are premature. Under the guise od amity, Niflheim dispels the anti-armament runewall and launches a full-scale invasion of the kingdom. The peaceful lives Crown Prince Noctis and his entourage once knew are consumed by the flames of war as they struggle to mount a resistance. (from the offical Square Enix site). Hm, story sounds like a Final Fantasy game to me. There's always some mystical power involved. The only thing is that except for just a bunch of random people getting involved, we have a Prince and his crew. Sounds interesting to me. Speaking of the Prince, let's get to the cast. Our characters are as follows:
Noctis Lucis Caelum (main character; male)
Gladiolis Amicitia (male)
Ignis Scientia (male)
Prompto Argentum(male)
Cor Leonis (male)
You can find their bios on the offical site. Anyway, did you guys notice something? That's right. The whole entire cast is made up of guys. This is something else I want to comment on being a girl. Some people are saying that the game is not worth buying simply because there is no girl character. Being a girl myself, I don't care... AT ALL that's there's no girl character. I mean yeah, it would be nice to have one, but it's not that big of a deal. In the past, Square Enix has female characters in most of their games. Just because there are none in this game doesn't make it anyless of a final fantasy game. We'll know more once there's more details. What makes a final fantasy game is the story. Some also complained that there might not be any moogles in this game. Now, I love our little kupo friend like everyone else, but it wasn't announced that there weren't going to be any moogles. I mean seriously, there was no moogles or chocobos in the first Final Fantasy XIII game and no one had a problem with that. Hell, the Final Fantasy XIII games didn't even have the usual battle victory song, and that's a tradition I really love. We just have to admit that Final Fantasy is changing with the generation. I mean honestly, when the game was still Versus XIII they announced that it was going to have a Kingdom Hearts fighting style and everyone was estatic for it. Now that it's something else everyone is going to complain about the battle system being different? *sigh* The world we live in. Let's look at it differently for those hard core Final Fantasy fans. This game could be what we need for a different game to be made and you all know what I'm talking about. Now matter what you say, the game looks AWESOME!! It's going to make a lot of money. Remember what Square Enix said about the Final Fantasy VII remake (which I still think we don't need at the moment). That's all I have to say. I am one of the many people who can't wait for this game to come out. It's going to be amazing and one of the main reasons I'm buying PS4. Those are my thoughts. Voice of a Gamer signing out.
