Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon

Ok, I know this game came out last month on the 24th, but I just finished beating the game with my friend. I don't own the game, but since my friend does I just played along with her. I feel like I'm ready to finally talk about it. This game... is amazing. It's the perfect sequel to the first Luigi's mansion. It's easier in terms of finding items (no weird furniture humping... LOL), the boos don't try to escape into different rooms when you try to catch them (however, you do need to use the dark light [a new function of the flashlight] to find them within the room), and the controls are easier and really comfortable. Each ghost has different abilities, the red ghost will try to beat you to a pulp, the pink ghost will scare you and disappear a lot, and the green ghost will use items to block your flashlight so you can't stun them. These are some of the elements that gives the game a challenge. There are going to be moments when you actually jump while playing the game, so don't be ashamed. Now, as awesome as this game is THE GAME IS A TROLL. I'll give you a good example. Me and my friend are playing the clock  towers boss. When we finish, our stats were TERRIBLE. Like, really, really, bad. Guess what ranking we got. That's right.... a gold rank. NOW, SOMEONE TELL ME HOW THAT IS POSSIBLE?! I 'm still trying to figure it out. There's also the loveable, but really annoying, polterpup. This cute ghost dog will steal your key to move on in the story A LOT! You have to constantly use the dark light to follow his paw prints so you can find him and get the key back. However, even when you find him, the dog runs away and you have to start the search over again. There's also the fact that at the end of the mission, polterpup escapes your poltergust and you'll have to face him again in the next mansion. There's also the toads. OMG they are scared of the stupidest thing. Example: Ice level mansion; mission: rescue toad; what is toad afraid of: ICE... =_= WTF! Okay, enough about me ranting about the game being a major troll. I love how for this game we actually go to different mansion and are not stuck in one mansion. It gives the feel of an actual adventure game. The non-y ghost enemies were very helpful throughout the game by giving you health and money, which are VERY important in the game. Money gives you upgrades and health keeps you alive. The puzzles are easy, but also pose as a challenge and give entertainment. The boss fights can be very entertaining as well as hard as hell. This game is basically for those who loved the first Luigi's Mansion and/or want to give Luigi the hero credit he deserves. I feel like Nintendo gave a great start to the Year of Luigi. I can't wait to see what Mario's younger brother does next. Maybe we'll finally know what he did during Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door (I'm really hoping so. That was a major tease). I hope you all have a great Year of Luigi.

By the way, if your curious on what me and my friend's stats were for the clock towers boss, here they are:
Time: 12:20
Ghost: 35
Health Loss: 224
Treasure: 410
Rank: GOLD

KINGDOM HEARTS DREAM DROP DISTANCE SECRET ENDING RANT

Ok, by now everyone should know about the secret ending to KH: Dream Drop Distance. So, I think it is an approiate time to rant about it. Don't get me wrong, I love every hint the ending gives to us about Kingdom Hearts III. My problem is: WHY THE HECK IS KAIRI THERE?!!!!!! I mean seriously?! Kairi is all of a sudden important?! She hasn't been important since the first game! Why is she all of a sudden a very important character according to the secret ending?! Kairi is the most useless character in the game! Sure, she can weild a keyblade, but she CAN'T FIGHT FOR CRAP!! We've seen her fight in KH II. She swings it around like a toy. She served her purpose as a damsel in distress. In all honesty, I forgot Kairi even existed after the first game. Every time she popped up in the other games is the only time I remembered her. I know I'm Kairi bashing, but you have to admit it is true. Kairi is the princess peach of Kingdom Hearts and we ALL know how "useful" princess peach was. Square Enix is going to have to try REALLY HARD to make me think Kairi is going to be useful in KH III. *sigh* I guess we'll see what happens when Kingdom Hearts III comes out in 2014 (my estimated year. The probability of this being true in my opinion is 95% since KH 1.5 in coming out Fall of this year). Tell me what you guys think of Kairi. Do you think she will be useless like always OR finally become useful in the series? For I am only one fan. I can't really speak for all fans. I'm still thinking about doing those vlogs btw. Those are my thoughts. Voice of a Gamer signing out.
The only reason I put this here is because it's so cute :3

SQUARE ENIX

With so much going on with the company, I decided to kind of rant about SQUARE ENIX. Square has made some pretty awesome games. Their most popular games being the Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy series (which I love very much). However, they have come out with some pretty awesome games during the years. Examples of said games are Tomb Raider (2013), Quantum Conundrum,  Hitman Absolution, Dragon Quest VII and TWEWY (The World Ends With You). These games have seen a lot of success and I believe the company is doing very well in the gaming world. However, SQUARE ENIX makes amazing games, but they are a BIG FAT TEASE!! They are a tease because of their most popular games. Fans of Kingdom Hearts have been waiting for KH III since 2005. From 2005 to now, there have been a lot of filler games. They are important to the story line, but some fans are getting sick and tired of waiting. I'm happy now that Kingdom Hearts has lived for as long as it did and that now Kingdom Hearts III is within our grasp, but still, when the KH III release date is announced, I'm gonna scream FINALLY  on the top of my lungs. I mean I had a good feeling that it was going to come out this year.... than they said 1.5 was coming out of fall of this year. Just when you think we get what we want, SQUARE ENIX throws another tease at us. There's also the tease with Final Fantasy. For some reason, I don't know why, FF VII fans have been BEGGING for a re-make of Final Fantasy VII. They said they're not going to make a remake until THERE'S A FINAL FANTASY GAME BETTER THAN VII.... yeah, it's going to be awhile before we get that remake. VII was the MOST POPULAR Final Fantasy game on the market. I see it as it's own series in itself. There are a total of 3 games + one that SHOULD BE IN THE MAKING! and a movie. There will most likely NEVER be a Final Fantasy game that's better than VII unless all the VII fans got together and decided to trick Square into thinking there is a game so they can make a remake, even though I personally feel that instead of a remake, they should be focused on the game that comes after Dierge of Cerberus. I mean Genesis did come back to life. Cloud needs to go kick his ass. Basically, SQUARE ENIX has created some amazing games, but their the ultimate tease when it comes to their most popular games. I think I've ranted enough. What do you guys think of SQUARE ENIX? Tell me. Voice of a Gamer signing out.

AC IV, KH 1.5, and Rhythm Theif

Ok, so much is going on in the world of gaming that I'm pushing three topics in one post so bear with me. Let's start with the upcoming Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. I was really shocked when I saw the announcement. I never expected for the next game to come out so soon. The game comes out October 29th of this year. That makes it almost (short of a day) a year since AC III came out. The only logical reason I can see why this game is coming out so soon is that they were already working on it while working on or finishing AC III. Now, I think the game is going to be awesome!! I mean, come on, Pirate Assassin  Two very badass things put into one. What more could I ask for. The fact that Black Beard, the most gruesome pirate that ever lived throughout history, is talking about how bad the new assassin is, I'm pretty excited to see what this assassin can do. Since the game takes place in the Carribean, there is most likely going to be ALOT of naval battles. The naval battles were awesome in AC III. I wanna see what they do with it in this game. The new assassin, Edward Keenway, looks like a badass. I really like his design. It fits the title of Pirate Assassin. I'll let you guys know more on what I think as soon as I get more info.

MOVING ON! Next is the announcement of Kingdom Hearts 1.5 coming out in North America in Fall 2013. Ok first things first, SQUARE ENIX YOU TEASE!!! This is most likely a sign that the long awaited Kingdom Hearts III is not coming out until 2014. I'm pretty excited for it. I mean I get the chance to play the first three games that came out in the series (as I said in a much earlier post, I got into the KH series when 358/2 Days came out). Also AMERICA FINALLY GETS ONE OF THE FINAL MIX GAMES!!!! I mean seriously, we've heard about all of the final mixes and never got a single one of them and the first one (i think) was in ENGLISH!!! So not fair T_T. But, we do get to play Kingdom Hearts Final Mix without importing it.I'm kind of upset that we can't play Days on it, but it makes sense since it was a DS game. I'm cool with just watching the cutscences though. The game is a great way to celebrate 10 years of Kingdom Hearts, but I still would've liked to hear a Kingdom Hearts III announcement instead.

NEXT TOPIC!! Final topic of this post is for Rhythm Thief  Now, I know this game came out years ago, but I watched the walkthrough for it a few days ago and found it very interesting. It's not exactly like you average rhythm game. I had a Professor Layton feel to it as well. I feel like it's a step up for all rhythm games. Because in all honesty, I only play rhythm games for the music. They usually don't have a really good story line. Rhythm Thief however does and I like it. I can't wait for the sequel. I think other rhythm game makers will follow their example.

Phew, that took awhile. I had more to say about KH and AC than Rhythm Thief. Oh well, those are my thoughts guys. Oh, before I go I might, MIGHT, start making vlogs for this stuff. idk yet. I'll let you guys know. Voice of a Gamer signing out.

Playstation 4: Already?

Soooo, lately everyone's been talking about the recently announced Playstation 4. Now, I'm excitied for it like a lot of other Sony fans (mostly for Kingdom Hearts Reasons). The only thing is that I feel like it came out fast. I mean the Wii U just came out in December. I would think that Sony and Xbox would be awhile before their new systems come out. I mean there were rumors flying around, but that's all they were, rumors. This was really unexpected. With the current details about the Playstation 4, it looks pretty cool. However... $400 something dollars.... Sony you still are expensive as hell. This is really no surprise, but still, I'm most likely not going to get it until the price goes down. However, being the devoted Kingdom Hearts fan that I am, if Kingdom Hearts III is coming out for Playstation 4 (even though I highly doubt it) I'm getting before that game comes out no matter the price. Anyway, there is little knowlede about the Playstation 4 besides the facts that:
1) Playstation 4 owners will be able to use their smartphone or tablets as a second screen with the PLaystation App (*cough cough* Xbox Smartscreeen *cough cough*)
2) Gaikai, a cloud-based gaming service that hosts downloadable content and games. By incorporating a share button on the new controller and making it possible to view in-game content being streamed live from friends.
3) Console tech will be similiar to computer tech
4) Dualshock 4 will have a touch pad
5) Playstation Eye is redesigned with 1280×800px cameras
I might be missing out on some information, but this is all that I know so far. I'll keep you guys updated as much as I can. Those are my thoughts. Voice of a Gamer signing out.

The Future of Pokemon

As everyone knows, there will be a new Pokémon game coming out in October. This is the biggest Pokémon news to be announced since Black and White 2. I think it's going to be a pretty good game. I mean, seriously, it's a new pokemon game. Who doesn't want it? I think it's going to be pretty cool with all the new graphics and everything else. The fact that we can actually see the pokemon perform their moves instead of them just standing there. The new starter pokemon look awesome, except for the water type. It looks really weird. Everything else looks fine. I like the design of the new characters. Maybe we can customize our characters. Maybe we will have roller blades instead of running shoes. Who knows? The lastest news on this game is the new eevee evolution. Eevee is one of my favorite pokemon from the game. The question is, which type is this new evolution? The new legendries look pretty cool and everything. I can't wait to enter a new region of the Pokémon world.  This will truly be a revolutionary game for the series. Of course, I personally feel that the company ran out colors for the name of the game so they moved onto letters. And I already know that there is going to be a Pokémon Z. Anyway, this game shows a lot of promise. I can't wait for more information to be realized on the game. Tell me your expectations. Those are my thoughts. Voice of a Gamer signing out.

Thieves in Time...FINALLY!

HELLO SLY COOPER FANS! Man, it's been a long time since Sly Cooper 3: Honor Among Thieves. Since Sucker Punch decided to not make anymore Sly Cooper games and focus on Infamous and the Sly Series ending in a cliffhanger (jerks...), Sanzaru games took over the Sly Cooper series. (HURRAY!!) Now, there is always worry about a game going to a new company. However, the results are the same as Dmc: Devil May Cry. It may now belong to a different company, but it's still a pretty awesome game. Okay, first thing first: Graphics. Love them. I love how Sanzaru games actually made Sly age a bit since he's been gone for such a long time. For his supposed age, he looks good! Murray looks pretty good as well. Still the hippo we know and love. Bentley, to me, looks about the same. Carmelita looks... different. I don't like her new look that much, but other might beg to differ. Idk, this is just my opinion. Next, the voices. THANK GOD THEY STUCK TO SLY COPPER TRADITION. I love the fact that they kept the old voice actors for Sly, Murray and Bentley. I am in love with their voices and of course we had to keep Bentley's voice the same. They also kept the tradition of changing Carmalita's voice actor. Her voice doesn't sound that bad in this one. I kind of like it. Ok, next on our list is the gameplay and story line. ...WE FREAKING FINALLY PLAY AS SLY'S ANCESTORS. We've heard so much about his ancestors that it's about time we played as his ancestors.  Maybe... just maybe... we can meet Sly's father and get to figure out what he finally looks like. The game also keeps its humor. I lost count on how many times I laughed at something Bentley, Murray, or Sly said. I also love the unique character of the ancestors. Some of them you'll love; some of them you'll hate; some of them you'll love to hate. And of course, it wouldn't be a Sly game if they didn't sort of break the fourth wall. The gameplay feels like a Sly Cooper game. It's the same controls that we all grew up with, but with a few new ones. I also love how the ancestors have their own unique abilities; something that makes them different from all the rest, like their different canes. I also like the costume system. The costumes that Sly recieves are very handy in combat. They are unique to each time period and a lot of them help deal with the guards much easier than when we were not in a costume. For instance, the samurai costume helps protect you against fire. It also allows you to deflect it which is very important during the Feudal Japan level. The only downside to the costumes is that Sly moves a lot slower in the costumes. Overall, I recommend this game to people who grew up with the Sly Cooper series and people who are new to series. The game is absolutely amazing. It might of been awhile, but it was worth the wait. Great job Sanzaru Games, and to all you Sly Cooper fans, good luck stealing all of those amazing treasures. Kudos to the people who designed them. Those are my thoughts. Voice of a Gamer signing out.
