Wow, it’s been a while. I haven’t posted anything for a long time. I’m really sorry everyone. I’ve been very busy with school and what not and I completely forgot about my duties as a blogger, but I’m on break now so hopefully I’ll be able to talk about video games more often. So let’s talk about something recent shall we. Square Enix just released Drakengard 3 which is supposidly a prequel to the entire Drakengard series. Now I am very unfamiliar with the series so I’ll talk about the game as if it wasn’t a part of the series. This game is….really weird. In the game you play as an Intoner, a holy songtress that brought peace amoung a chaotic world, named Zero. She wants to kill all five of her sisters in order to gain control of the planet. Now according to my research they say she is the supposed anti-hero, but when you play the game you feel like you’re playing as the antagonist. All of the Intoners are all some definition of crazy. Five is an uber-slut, Four has an inferoirity complex, Three is obessive over little things, Two is basically a ditz, and One is Ms. I-Am-Better-Than-Everyone-So-Obviously-You-Can’t-Defy-Me bitch. Zero herself is like Mitsuru (who she is voiced by) on a murder spree…. I fear for my life. You also meet each Intoner’s disciple, but they’re not really important for this reveiw. The reason this game is really weird is due to the atmosphere. It seems to conflict in my opinion. The scenary gives off this dark and serious moment like in a time of war, but the dialouge… Oh god the dialouge is freaking HILIARIOUS!! There are a lot of sex jokes, kill jokes, personality conflicts, etc. The story is humorous. Even the enemies, when they speak before you kill them, they all say things that show how afraid they are, how much they want to have sex with their Intoner, they even have arguments amongst themselves if they should run away or fight. There’s even a cutscene that is censored in the most hiliarious way I can think off, but they leave just enough to let your imagination fill in the rest. Okay, let’s get down to the gameplay. It’s basically you’re regualr hack-and-slash game with a few RPG elemnts in it. You gain levels at the end of each mission and before each mission starts you can buy items, upgrade your weapons, or buy new weapons. The system works for the type of game it is. It honestly feels like Dynasty Warirors with a little bit of Kingdom Hearts. Graphically, however, this game fails. It honestly looks like a PS2 game that got an HD upgrade and was ported onto the PS3. It’s not that impressive at all. The designs are good, but the resoulution is not great. However, that shouldn’t determine if it’s a bad game or not. Overall, I think it’s a pretty good game. I love the dialogue that happens during battles. The story is weird, but enjoyable. The gameplay is pretty good. It isn’t a perfect game, but it is a good one. I reccomend this game to those who like Square Enix games besides Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy, like hack-and-slash games, or just want a good laugh here and there while playing a game. Well that’s all I have to say on the matter. Once again, I’m really sorry for the lack of post and I hope to make up for it. Anyway those are my thoughts, Voice of a Gamer signing out.

O_O
Wow...666 pageviews...I don't know if I should be happy or scared. But anyway thank you guys so much for checking out my blog. I really appreciate it. So in honor of this many pageviews, I feel like talking about an evil game...no not Sonic '06. Enough people have ranted about that. Besides, a new Legend of Zelda game is right around the corner. So, let's talk about an evil Zelda game. There was once a Zelda game not made by Nintendo (I think) called Link: The Face of Evil. Now, some people think that Skyward Sword is a bad Zelda game (which I don't completely agree with), but this one is an absolute worse. It's a shame that this game is even considered a Zelda game. Thank GOD that it's not a part of the timeline. First thing wrong with the game, they gave Link a voice. Not his usual screams and stuff, no. AN ACTUAL VOICE! Now, I wouldn't mind it if the voice acting was good. Sadly, it's not. The voice acting in this game is terrible and they made Link into some kind of pervert that's always begging a kiss from Zelda....Seriously? I honestly like silent hero Link A LOT better than Link with a voice. Another thing you'll notice is that the cutscenes and artwork are terrible!! It's like a three, not five, THREE year old did the designs for this game. If you're making a game, make sure your artist can actually DRAW! Just saying. The gameplay sucks as well. First off, they got the rupee (sorry if I spelt that wrong) count wrong. Why are green rupees 5 and red ones 1? The story makes no damn sense along with the items. How you get certain items is really stupid and is it me or are the enemies not even a challenge? Only the bosses are...sort of. I mean seriously everything in this game besides the bosses die in one hit. I think even GANON, who is supposed to be the hardest boss in the game, dies in one hit....WHAT BULLSHIT IS THAT?! I can go on and on about this game, but I gotta run. Thanks for all the pageviews guys and I hope you have an awesome day. Those are my thought Voice of a Gamer signing ouy.

Sonic Lost World Review RAGE
Okay, first things first, the title is misleading. I haven't played Sonic Lost World yet and I'm not talking bad about the game. What I am raging about is the critic reviews this game seems to be getting. According to gaming critics, Sonic Lost World has good mechanics and wonderful designs and everything. However, the second half of the game is frustrating, enemies keep slowing you down, and the walls get pretty annoying.... So let me get this straight. You're saying the game is bad because it's A SONIC GAME?! For the love of god how stupid can you get?! Of course the second half will probably get frustrating. GAMES GET HARDER OVER TIME!! That's happen in...I don't know...EVERY GAME IN EXISTENCE!!!! The whole thing about enemies slowing you down, that's happened in EVERY SONIC GAME!!!! Even the spawn of satan game that is Sonic '06. That's the purpose of the enemies and traps; TO TRY TO SLOW YOU DOWN!! And it is the job of the gamer to get the fastest time possible with these obstacles in your way. And of course what pisses me off the most is their complaints on the walls. I get it; the main purpose of sonic is to go as fast as you can to clear the stage. Um... do you people (the critics not you guys) not also remember that...oh I don't know...EVERY SONIC GAME IS CLASSIFIED AS A PLATFORMER!!!! Of course there are going to be walls that you have to climb over and stuff to progress. Hell, they added the parkour in an attempt to make that process faster. There are going to be platforming puzzles. THEY'VE BEEN IN EVERY SONIC GAME TO DATE!! I've also heard some people say that the parkour gets repetitive. HELLO?! A PLATFORMER!!! (In all honesty the reason this isn't a video is because I feel like I'll get kicked off youtube because I will be shouting every swear word in the book and I don't need angry parents on my ass). They even complained about the story, but in all honesty, I don't think a lot of gamers play sonic games for the story. It's been the same in every game: Eggman or some other villian is trying to take over the world with an army of some kind (mostly a robotic army) and it's up to Sonic to stop them. Ever since Sonic '06 came out, which we can all agree was a dark time for the world of video games, critics have given sonic nothing but grief. Here's some advice. STOP COMPARING FUTURE SONIC GAMES TO GAMES OF THE PAST LIKE ADVENTURE AND ADVENTURE 2. THESE ARE NOT THOSE GAMES!!! Every Sonic game is different, which is why I love the series (Hell Sonic is what got me into video games in the first place). So some of the games will not be as good as the games from the past, but that does not mean that you give it such a bad review. I can't wait to get my hands on Sonic Lost world for myself so I can give my own opinion on it. I will see for myself if the game is bad or not. I'm not writing this because I'm a Sonic fan that's angry that a sonic game got a bad review. I know when a game is pure shit. I admit there are some pretty bad sonic games, but the stuff they are complaining about makes no damn sense. Phew...I need to calm down. I think I've raged enough for today. Pokemon X and Y.....So beautiful
As all of you know, Pokemon X and Y just came out yesterday. This pokemon game introduces new graphics for the series, new pokemon (of course), and a new pokemon type and I must say....this game is pure BEAUTY!!! The graphics look amazing!! I know a couple of people were nervous about the 3D graphics in a pokemon game, but Game Freak knew what they were doing and the game looks absolutely beautiful. Now I want to talk about our protagonist....you.... The fact you can now customize your character just amazes me every time. For years now we were stuck with the same sprite in every game now matter what. Everyone's was the same. Now we can create our own character and I must say I have a lot of fun with it. Now another I want to mention is a lot of throw backs in the game. You will come across certain situations that will remind you of the first generation pokemon games. And the rumors are true people, in this game you pick two starters!! After a while in your journey, you will meet up with the professor in the came and after some events, you are offered to pick one out of the FIRST GEN STARTERS!!! Veterans of the game are sure to love this. Now, I don't want to spoil every new feature in the game, especially one that happens after you beat the first gym, so you're going to have to find that out on your own ;). Now I want to get to the main starters of the game. I picked Feniken because it just looked so freakin awesome and I know that Froakie (srry if I'm misspelling the names guys DX) got a lot of grief because of how it looked when the game was announced, but I'm telling you the evolved forms make up for that in a big way. I also encourage everyone that before january, pick up your free torchick!! It holds a Megastone and you will eventually get Mega Blazeikin. (God I suck at spelling Pokemon names). Speaking of which, I have yet to see a Mega Evolution, so I can't say anything about that yet. I also have a warning for you guys. This game is LONG!! I mean longer than usual for a pokemon game. You see....I think I went by six towns before I reached the second gym. It took me FOREVER to get there. Right now I'm basically at the third gym which did take me a short amount of time but seriously I'm at the third gym and I'm almost a level 30 for some of my pokemon and 40 for others. Anyway wrapping things up, Pokemon X and Y is an amazing game. For Veterans, you'll love all of the throw back and how the game has evolved over the years. For newcomers, this is a great place to start you adventure and experience what those who played the first pokemon games experienced....speaking of which I still need to watch Pokemon origins... Anyway, those are my thoughts. Voice of a Gamer signing out.

SUPPORT THIS!!!
You will rarely see me do something like this, but I was so excited when I found out and I just have to spread the word. Now I know there are A LOT of Megaman fans out there. I am one of them and we know that we miss him with all of our hearts and are excited to see him in the new Smash Bros. Game. Capcom has done him no justice and basically killed the character. However, this will not stop Megaman's creator, Keiji Inafune. He has listened to his fans and realized that a lot of us gamers love the new advancements in gaming, but miss the classic feel of a lot of classic games we all grew up with. In Keiji Inafune's situation, that means one character in particular. So, he decided to bring back the classic Japanese side-scrolling action games. I mean come on, who doesn't miss those game. They were amazing back then and still are today. I mean come on I just recently bought Megaman X for my Wii U. I feel like Inafune decided to reincarnate the Megaman series and created Mighty No. 9. The game stars a young robot named Beck. He's part of the 9th line of powerful robots. So basically he's going to be our new Megaman. He's the only one who hasn't been infected by a strange computer virus that causes other robots to go berserk (Mavricks?). As Beck, you can run, jump shoot, and transform to get through six stages or more. Like Megaman, he can steal an enemy's abilities, but except for simply changing color and getting a new blaster, Beck changes shape and can kick some major ass. You have to take down your fellow number robots and confront the evil that threatens the planet. Sounds like a Megaman game right?! XD I honestly can't wait for this and I hope this game gets a lot of success. As soon as I can I'm going to support it. This is the chance gamers have to play a brand new game but have that classic feel that we know and love. This is a game I, as a gamer, crave for. I think you guys should support this game too. If you really want a new game with a classic feel or you really miss Megaman, give this a click and do what you can to make this a reality (the link is under the picture):

Mario & Luigi: Dream Team LUIGI IS THE HERO!!
Wow it's been awhile since I've posted something. Sorry guys I just started my first year of college so I've been a little busy lately. The Kingdom Hearts Post is coming along with the first vlog of Thoughts on Gaming. Now 2013 is starting to wind down as well as the year of Luigi. In honor of this time, I thought it was a good time to talk about the latest Mario and Luigi game. Now these games are not knew, however this particular Mario and Luigi game is different from all the others. In this game, YOU CANNOT SURVIVE WITHOUT LUIGI!! I am serious. In all of the other Mario and Luigi games I felt that if I played as just Mario, I could still get by in this game. In this game however, you definitely need Luigi and its not just because these enemies are hard. While I was playing the game, Mario died more then Luigi did. Luigi also had better moves and stats in my opinion and that's only in the real word. In the dream world, you only play as Mario since Luigi is asleep. However, Dream Luigi is there to help you. The enemies in the dream world are more powerful then they are in the real world. Dream Luigi is a part of you and gives you a great stat boost. When your attack finishes. Dream Luigi is there to cause some extra damage in order to make these fights easier. There's also the Luiginary moves you can do in battle which are pretty awesome. There's also the moves you can do to help solve puzzles in the game. So all in all, I can say that Luigi is the true hero in this game. However, that's not the only great thing about it. In the game you will encounter a level called "Dreams Deep". Basically Luigi is going into a deep sleep. There are no enemies in this level. Dream Luigi is gone. What's so special about it? In the background there are images of Luigi floating around along with some words. Those words go along the line of "Big Bro is so cool!" "You go Big Bro!" "Big Bro!"....."Don't leave me Big Bro!" "Take me with you!" I have a good feeling those are Luigi's inner feelings and they moved my heart. After all of the years of being out of the spotlight, this level gave me the idea that Luigi is very proud of his older brother Mario, but he also feels very alone. Mario has left Luigi so many times that I honestly don't blame him. I feel really bad for Luigi. I swear we need to give him more games. Have him save Daisy for once....let's just not make Daisy as useless as Princess Peach. Luigi definitely needs more attention then we give him. I'm always up for supporting the little brother of the Mario Bros. World. All in all this game is really amazing and gives a lot of the spotlight to Luigi. This game was a great way to end off the year of Luigi, but I would really like Luigi to have his own Paper Mario game. He was on his own adventure during the thousand year door. Anyway, Happy Year of Luigi Everyone! Those are my thought. Voice of a Gamer signing out!
